Workshop: Tickmarks, clean climbing – Saturday 26

Climb with less impact, more awareness and a deeper understanding of the rock!

Why is clean climbing so important? To bolt or not to bolt? This workshop goes beyond technique to explore the ethics and philosophy of climbing, discovering how our choices can shape the rock and preserve it for future generations.

Through the unique climbing culture of Valle Orco, you’ll learn how to approach routes with removable protection, place and remove gear effectively, assess when protection is really needed and understand the principles behind leaving the rock exactly as you found it.

A practical and open discussion about trad climbing, ethics, responsibility and respect for the rock, guided by climbers who know Valle Orco and its history from the inside.
