Valle Orco Climbing Festival: September 25–28, 2025 marks the return of the international climbing event at the foot of Gran Paradiso National Park
Valle Orco (TO), August 30, 2025 – Adventure Factory A.S.D. announces the fifth edition of the Valle Orco Climbing Festival (VOCF), the international gathering dedicated to sport climbing, trad, and bouldering, supported by the Municipality of Ceresole Reale and the Italian Sport Climbing Federation (FASI). Main partners confirmed: Vibram, La Sportiva, and Wild Country, along with many other outdoor brands and organizations. BrewDog, IREN, and Quiksilver will provide technical support for the event.
An International Festival of Nature, Climbing, and Sharing
The festival has now established itself as a unique experience for climbing enthusiasts, but also as a moment of sharing and discovering Valle Orco, a true gem at the foot of Gran Paradiso. Participants had the opportunity to explore and climb the incredible granite walls of the valley and the newly cleaned boulder lines prepared specifically for the occasion, gathering a community united by a love for nature and climbing. The festival program offered a wide variety of activities: technical and educational workshops, outdoor activities, inspiring talks and screenings, as well as meetings with internationally renowned athletes who shared their experiences and passion. The musical moments were equally important, with evening concerts, DJ sets, and performances that transformed the valley into a place of celebration. An extraordinary atmosphere pervaded both days and nights of the festival, making every moment an opportunity to forge new friendships and share authentic emotions.

A Growing Festival
Born in 2020 as a simple gathering among friends, VOCF has rapidly evolved into a benchmark event for the international climbing community. In 2024, it welcomed over 8,000 participants, 12% of whom were from abroad, confirming its place among the most important climbing festivals in Italy and Europe.
The goal remains to promote a healthy mountain culture and respect for the environment, while enhancing the Valle Orco area through initiatives linked to outdoor activities and sports tourism.
Positive Feedback and Valuable Support
The festival organization could not be more satisfied: feedback from participants and sponsors has been exceptionally positive, confirming the value of an event founded on passion, collaboration, and a profound respect for the environment that hosts us. The variety of activities and the quality of experiences offered generated widespread enthusiasm, which represents the greatest reward for everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this edition a success.
A special thank you goes to the main sponsors of the event: Vibram, Wild Country, and La Sportiva, whose support was crucial for the overall success of the festival. Additionally, the contribution of the Italian Sport Climbing Federation (FASI) and the Municipality of Ceresole Reale, who sponsored the event, was key to its realization.
We would also like to thank the numerous organizations that supported the festival, including: WorkLess Collective, Iren, Brewdog, Rupe, Patagonia, Rock Experience, Olùnid, Parvat, Brazz, Monvic, Lazy Ghost, Greve Bloc, Mountain Sicks, Versante Sud, Alpine Standards, Explore Climbing, Escape Climbing Village, Knit 4 a Dream, Armaù, Be Your Balance, Niva, Braghe, Pleasure House, Skalo, Protect Our Winters Italy, Fair Enough, 4 Climbers, For Outdoor People and Sea Shepherd. Thanks to their collaboration, the festival was enriched by experiences and initiatives that made a real difference for the participants.
Theme 2025: The Circus
The 2025 edition will embrace the theme “The Circus” — a subtle and ironic analogy to the current global socio-political landscape. Through satire, the festival will tackle complex and sensitive issues, turning the valley into a giant big top where acrobats, jugglers, and tightrope walkers become metaphors for contemporary society.
“We chose the circus as a lens,” explain the organizers, “because climbing is a game of balance, falls, and comebacks — just like collective life. And satire allows us to address delicate topics with lightness, yet without losing depth.”
All participants are invited to join the festival with colorful outfits, a playful spirit, and the desire to have fun. VOCF 2025 aims to be a free and inclusive space, welcoming every form of art, expression, and interpretation without prejudice. The atmosphere will be even more open and hospitable, fostering mutual listening, acceptance of differences, and generosity. A mountain circus where everyone can feel part of the show.
